Jury Awards $18.6 Million at Conclusion of Asbestos Trial Against Goodyear

DALLAS –– A Texas state court jury has awarded $18.6 million to the surviving family members of a former tire builder, finding that The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, the lone remaining defendant at the time of the verdict, was liable for the decedent’s mesothelioma.

The Texas County Court at Law No. 5 jury in Dallas reached the verdict on Sept. 5. Judge Mark Greenberg presided over the trial.
