Defendants Support Efforts to Reargue Against Reinstatement of Punitive Damages in NYC Asbestos Docket

NEW YORK –– Defendants involved in New York City’s coordinated asbestos docket have filed a reply brief supporting their efforts to have the court revisit a decision reintroducing punitive damages, contending that the court’s order did not address a “multitude” of issues.

In a reply brief filed July 23 with the New York Supreme Court for New York County, the defendants maintained that they have presented “ample” evidence of chaos and confusion in the wake of the trial court’s order reinstating punitive damages in the city’s asbestos docket.
