Asbestos Plaintiffs Ask 3rd Circuit to Review Order Awarding Summary Judgment to Boeing, Goodyear and GE

NEWARK, N.J. –– Plaintiffs in an asbestos suit have appealed a federal court’s order awarding summary judgment to Boeing Co., General Electric Co., and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., contesting the court’s finding that Boeing was immune to the claims under the government contractor defense.

The plaintiffs filed the notice of appeal on July 17 with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit, also challenging a New Jersey federal court’s opinion that they failed to establish that the decedent was exposed to asbestos-containing products manufactured by General Electric and Goodyear.
