SAVANNAH, Ga. –– A Georgia trial court has awarded summary judgment to Crane Co. in an asbestos case, holding that the defendant could not be held liable for products it did not manufacture or place into the stream of commerce.
In the July 21 opinion, the Georgia Superior Court for Chatham County further found that the plaintiffs failed to produce sufficient evidence to show that the decedent worked in the vicinity of Crane Co. products that did contain asbestos.
