SAN FRANCISCO - A California appeals court has reversed a $2.3 million verdict awarded to a 38-year-old man who claimed he was exposed to a Kaiser Gypsum asbestos product while visiting a church as an infant. Lee v. Kaiser Gypsum Co., No. A095302 (Calif. Ct. App., First Dist.).
The First District California Court of Appeal on Nov. 13 reversed the verdict after finding that the trial court erred when it excluded the testimony of a defense expert called to dispute claims that the product was manufactured by Kaiser.
