LOS ANGELES –– A California appellate court has reversed an award of summary judgment to Metalclad Corp. in an asbestos case, finding the plaintiffs had presented evidence that established more than “mere speculation of causation.”
In the July 8 opinion, the California 2nd District Court of Appeal found sufficient evidence that Metalclad performed insulation work on steam piping at the plant with which the decedent was employed.
