SEATTLE –– A Washington federal court has remanded an asbestos action, rejecting the defendants’ position that the court should ignore the citizenship of the defendants named in the wrongful death suit, but not included in the original personal injury action.

In the June 30 decision, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington held that several considerations weighed in favor of finding that a wrongful death suit was not barred because the personal injury statute of limitations ran prior to the decedent’s death.
