Alleged Asbestos Exposure at Several Company Locations Are Multiple Occurrences, Federal Court Rules

DALLAS - Claims based on asbestos exposure to workers at three separate locations operated by a single company constitutes multiple occurrences under the insured's primary insurance policy, a federal district court has ruled. Fina, Inc., et al. v. The Travelers Indemnity Co., et al., No. 3:96cv1689 (N.D. Texas).
The U.S. District for the Northern District of Texas reached the decision Jan. 18 on its way toward granting partial summary judgment to Fina Oil and Chemical Co.
