OMAHA, Neb. –– A Nebraska federal court has granted a motion to transfer a railroad worker’s asbestos case to federal court in Iowa, finding that the interests of the public and the convenience of the witnesses weighed in favor of transfer.

In the June 4 decision, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska transferred the claims to federal court in Sioux City, where the alleged exposure occurred and where the plaintiff lived and worked.
