Nash Engineering, Air & Liquid Systems Awarded Summary Judgment in U.S. Naval Asbestos Exposure Case

WILMINGTON, Del. –– A magistrate judge has recommended that Nash Engineering and Air & Liquid Systems Corp. be awarded summary judgment in a U.S. Naval exposure case, opining in part that the evidence failed to show “beyond mere speculation and conjecture” that the plaintiff was exposed to asbestos in the defendants’ products.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Sherry R. Fallon recommended that the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware grant the two defense motions for summary judgment since “a mere showing that defendant’s product was present somewhere at plaintiff’s place of work is insufficient to establish causation.”
