U.S. Senator Introduces Asbestos Bankruptcy Settlement Trust Disclosure Legislation




WASHINGTON, D.C. –– Elected officials in Washington, D.C., will once again debate asbestos legislation requiring the disclosure of asbestos bankruptcy settlement trust details after an Arizona senator introduced the Furthering Asbestos Claim Transparency (FACT) Act of 2014.

U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) introduced the legislation on May 12. The bill would require asbestos bankruptcy trusts to disclose information on those who have filed claims.
