Missouri Court Denies Defense Motions to Dismiss Asbestos Suit, Warns Against Filing ‘Generic, Baseless’ Motions

ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri federal court has denied several defense attempts to dismiss an asbestos complaint on pleading grounds, warning the parties that it would not entertain “generic, baseless” motions.

In the April 1 opinion, Judge Catherine D. Perry of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri wrote that, after reviewing the plaintiffs’ complaint, it found no vague or ambiguous claims.
