NYC Court Denies Summary Judgment Efforts from Crane Co. in Asbestos Case

NEW YORK –– Crane Co.’s efforts to obtain summary judgment in a New York asbestos action have been rejected by a trial court, which found that the plaintiff had submitted enough evidence to support the inference that the defendant’s products were present at the job sites in question.
In the April 3 opinion, the New York Supreme Court for New York County additionally opined that it could rely on the transcripts from other, unrelated, asbestos cases in assessing the merits of a summary judgment motion.
