News Outlet Moves to Unseal Testimony from Garlock’s Asbestos Estimation Trial

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –– A news outlet has moved to unseal the trial testimony and exhibits on which a North Carolina bankruptcy court based its order estimating Garlock’s asbestos-related mesothelioma liabilities at $125 million.
The motion, filed March 3 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina, contends that the sealed information is evidence that the Court used to issue a ruling of “national importance.”
