LOS ANGELES –– A California court has awarded summary judgment to Eaton Aeroquip LLC, rejecting a plaintiff’s claims that he was exposed to asbestos in the company’s product while working as a jet propulsion mechanic.
In the Feb. 18 order, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California said that no reasonable jury could enforce liability on the defendant for the underlying claims.
Paul Olds asserted the claims, contending that his work as a jet propulsion mechanic in the U.S. Air Force exposed him to asbestos.
