Conclusion
As shown above, asbestos –– by itself –– is generally accepted to be a cause of lung cancer even in cases involving exposures of short duration or “low” intensity. The medical and scientific record has repeatedly established that this causal relationship exists irrespective of a lung cancer victim’s occupation.
