R.I. Court Allows Asbestos Plaintiff Access to Defense Pictures, Video of Work Site

PROVIDENCE, R.I. –– A Rhode Island court has granted an asbestos plaintiff’s request to obtain access to photographs and video taken by the defendants at the decedent’s work site, ruling that the items are key to her case and cannot currently be obtained.

In the same Nov. 7 order, however, the Rhode Island Superior Court denied access to photocopies made by the defendants of documents relating to the decedent’s work site, saying that the items were protected by the work product doctrine.
