House of Representatives to Vote on National Asbestos Bankruptcy Trust Legislation Nov. 13




WASHINGTON, D.C. –– The U.S. House of Representatives will vote on the Furthering Asbestos Claim Transparency (FACT) Act of 2013, which would require the public disclosure of claims filed with asbestos trusts, on Nov. 13.

The vote was placed on the Union Calendar No. 180, according to the House of Representatives’ online record of congressional actions.

In May, the Subcommittee on Regulatory Reform, Commercial and Antitrust Law approved H.R. 982. The legislation was introduced on March 6 by Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Texas) and Rep. Jim Matheson (D-Utah).
