Fla. Court Upholds $16.5 Million Asbestos Verdict Against Union Carbide

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. –– A Florida appellate court has affirmed a $16.5 million verdict in an asbestos case, allowing the judgment entered against Union Carbide Corp. to stand.
According to the Florida 4th District Court of Appeals’ online docket, the verdict was affirmed per curiam. The appellate court heard oral arguments in the matter on Oct. 15, the docket states.
