South Carolina Jury Awards $38 Million in Testicular Mesothelioma Asbestos Case

COLUMBIA, S.C. –– A South Carolina jury has awarded $38 million to a former millwright who says his exposure to asbestos-containing gaskets and packing in valves caused him to develop testicular mesothelioma, HarrisMartin is reporting.
The South Carolina Court of Common Pleas for Richland County jury reached the verdict late last night after a 12-day trial. Judge D. Garrison Hill presided over the trial, which ended after four hours in jury deliberations.
