NYC Court Consolidates 4 Asbestos Actions for Trial, Cites ‘Three Decades’ of Overlapping Exposure

NEW YORK –– A New York trial judge has consolidated four asbestos cases for trial purposes, finding the fact that the group consists of both deceased and living plaintiffs was not “inherently prejudicial.”
In the Sept. 4 order, the New York Supreme Court for New York County granted the motion to consolidate the four cases for trial. Jury selection is slated to begin Dec. 2, the order additionally noted.
