Summary Judgment Awarded to Hino Motor Sales, Caterpillar by Asbestos MDL Court

PHILADELPHIA –– Caterpillar and Hino Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. have been awarded summary judgment in an automotive asbestos case, after the multidistrict litigation court found there was insufficient evidence linking the decedent’s alleged exposure to the defendants’ products.

In separate orders entered Aug. 20 and 21, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania found the plaintiff did not produce evidence of exposure to a product manufactured by either of the defendants.
