News Outlet Appeals Bankruptcy Judge’s Decision Denying Attempts to Open Garlock’s Asbestos Estimation Trial

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –– A news outlet has appealed a bankruptcy judge’s decision denying attempts to open confidential portions of Garlock Sealing Technologies’ estimation trial, in which the federal judge ruled that the rights of the involved businesses and the asbestos plaintiffs “outweigh the public’s interest.”

The notice of appeal was filed on Aug. 13 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
