Wis. Court Rejects CBS Corp.’s Request to Re-Open Discovery in Asbestos Case Recently Remanded from MDL

MILWAUKEE, Wis. –– A Wisconsin federal court has rejected efforts by asbestos defendant CBS Corp. (NYSE:CBS) to re-open discovery in an asbestos case recently remanded by the national Asbestos Products Liability Multidistrict Litigation court.

In the July 28 motion, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin ruled that the parties would not be permitted to file case-dispositive motion and scheduled an Aug. 7 conference call to schedule trial in the matter.
