Jurors Award $190 Million at Conclusion of Consolidated Trial of 5 Asbestos Plaintiffs

NEW YORK –– A New York jury has awarded a total of $190 million at the conclusion of a consolidated trial in which five asbestos plaintiffs brought claims against boiler defendants, sources told HarrisMartin.
As HarrisMartin was first to report, the verdict was reached late on Tuesday, July 23, after an 11-week trial in the New York Supreme Court for New York County. Boiler defendants Cleaver Brooks and Burnham were the lone remaining defendants at the time of the verdict, sources said.
