Court Affirms Judgment for Gauge Manufacturer, Says Decedent Never Revealed Asbestos-Containing Internal Gaskets

LOS ANGELES –– A California appellate court has affirmed an award of summary judgment to a gauge manufacturer, ruling that there was no evidence that the decedent revealed the asbestos-containing internal gaskets in the gauge.

The California 2nd District Court of Appeal also determined in its July 15 opinion that even if Richard Lee revealed the internal gaskets in the defendant’s product, the manufacturer could not be liable for products manufactured or supplied by a third-party.
