NEW YORK –– A New York trial court has awarded summary judgment to Crane Co. in an asbestos case, finding that the plaintiffs’ evidence used to support claims against the defendant was “speculative.”

In its June 27 order, the New York Supreme Court for New York County found that the plaintiffs had failed to prove that asbestos-containing Crane Co. valves were within the decedent’s “zone of exposure” or that the valves “contributed to his injury.”
