Calif. Supreme Court Will Review Reinstatement of $5 Million Asbestos Verdict Against Special Electric

SAN FRANCISCO –– The California Supreme Court will review a $5 million asbestos verdict that was reinstated earlier this year after an intermediate appellate court found that the jury was properly given the opportunity to determine whether the asbestos supplier’s actions were a substantial contributing factor in causing the plaintiff’s mesothelioma.

According to the state’s online docket, the petition for review was granted on June 12.
