PHILADELPHIA –– Asbestos claims asserted against Buffalo Pumps, Crane Co. and FMC Corp. have been dismissed by the MDL court, after it determined that no reasonable jury could conclude that exposure to asbestos manufactured or supplied by the companies caused the plaintiff’s mesothelioma.

In a series of May 7 orders, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania awarded summary judgment to Buffalo Pumps, Crane Co. and FMC Corp., concluding that the claims were precluded under maritime law.
