N.Y. Court Allows In Camera Review of Internal Documents Relating to Asbestos Studies Funded by Georgia-Pacific

NEW YORK –– A New York appellate court has affirmed a ruling allowing a special master to conduct an in camera review of internal attorney-client and work-product documents relating to studies funded by asbestos defendant Georgia-Pacific.

In the June 6 ruling, the 1st Department of the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court agreed with the trial court that it was “of concern” that Georgia-Pacific was not only involved in the studies, but also that the company issued disclosures denying the participation.
