PHILADELPHIA –– Honeywell International Inc.’s (NYSE:HON) motion to dismiss asbestos claims asserted by a former mechanic has been granted by the court overseeing the national asbestos products liability multidistrict litigation, which found that the only evidence supporting product identification was an unsworn report.

In the April order, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania noted it has “repeatedly” ruled that unsworn evidence cannot be used to defeat a summary judgment motion.
