NEW YORK –– A defendant in an asbestos action that claims that it manufactured automotive body fillers that contained talc, not asbestos, has objected to the trial readiness of the case, saying that it has not received information it requested during the discovery process.

Asbestos defendant NMBFil Inc. objected to the plaintiffs’ request that the underlying case be added to a large group of cases assigned to a trial judge in a April 22 letter filed sent to Special Master Shelley Rossoff Olsen of the New York Supreme Court for New York County.
