Pa. Legislators Consider Legislation Requiring Asbestos Claimants to Disclose Bankruptcy Trust Details

HARRISBURG, Pa. –– Legislators in Pennsylvania are considering a bill that would require asbestos claimants to disclose information on claims they have submitted with bankruptcy trusts no later than 90 days prior to trial.

The Fairness if Claims and Transparency (FACT) Act was referred to the judiciary on April 8, according to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives online records.

The legislation was sponsored by Rep. Bryan Cutler (R).
