Pa. Court Reinstates Defense Verdict for Asbestos Brake Defendants Ford Motor, Pneumo Abex, Honeywell

PHILADELPHIA –– A Pennsylvania appellate court has reversed a trial court’s decision to vacate an asbestos defense verdict entered in favor of brake defendants Ford Motor (NYSE:F), Pneumo Abex and Honeywell International (NYSE:HON), saying that the jury’s decision was properly recorded.

In the April 16 decision, the Pennsylvania Superior Court specifically ruled that the plaintiffs had many opportunities to object to the inclusion of a ninth juror on deliberations.

In their lawsuit, George and Tina Webber contend that George Webber’s peritoneal mesothelioma was caused by exposure to a number of asbestos-containing products manufactured by several defendants.
