Asbestos MDL Court Grants Motion to Strike Amended Statement on Expert Witness Reports

PHILADELPHIA –– The court overseeing the national asbestos products liability multi-district litigation docket has denied efforts by asbestos plaintiffs in 14 cases to supplement expert reports, saying that the deadline for expert reports submissions had passed.

In granting Owens-Illinois’ motion to strike on April 3, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said that while the schedule orders were different in all of the cases, the deadline to submit expert reports had passed in some cases by nine months.
