La. Appellate Court Reverses in Part Ruling in Asbestos Case Involving John Crane

NEW ORLEANS –– A Louisiana appellate court has affirmed in part and reversed in part a trial court ruling on a summary judgment motion brought by asbestos plaintiffs, finding that there was a question about whether the decedent was exposed to asbestos-containing products manufactured by defendants Steel Grip and John Crane.

In the March 6 ruling, the Louisiana 4th Circuit Court of Appeals did affirm the trial court’s decision that there was no question that Raleigh Landry had mesothelioma, that this mesothelioma was caused by asbestos exposure and that it caused his death.
