Wisconsin Legislators Propose Bill Requiring Asbestos Plaintiffs to Disclose Trust Details

MADISON, Wis. –– Legislators in Wisconsin have proposed a bill that would require asbestos plaintiffs to disclose claims pending with bankruptcy trusts, or indicate their intention to file claims with personal injury trusts.

Upon the disclosure of this information, the courts would then be required to stay the proceedings until final executed proof of claims are produced by the plaintiffs, Assembly Bill 19 states.
