N.Y. Jury Awards $35 Million to Asbestos Plaintiffs; Crane Co. Allocated 15 Percent Liability

NEW YORK –– A New York jury has awarded $35 million to asbestos plaintiffs at the conclusion of a trial that started with seven cases consolidated before a single jury, HarrisMartin Publishing is reporting.

At the time the New York Supreme Court for New York County jury reached its verdict on March 1, however, the trial involved just claims asserted on behalf of Ivo Peraica against one remaining defendant, Crane Co.

Judge Martin Shulman presided over the three-month trial, which included four weeks of jury selection.
