NEW YORK –– A New York federal court has allowed Travelers to file an amended third-party complaint, concluding that doing so would not prejudice the defendants named in the action.

In the Jan. 11 opinion, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York opined that although the insurance company took longer than necessary to file the motion to amend, the delay was not made in bad faith.

Third-party plaintiffs The Travelers Indemnity Co. and Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. filed a motion for leave to file a third amended complaint, seeking specifically to add six third-party defendants.
