SAN FRANCISCO –– A California appellate court has affirmed an award of summary judgment to Thomas Dee Engineering Co., rejecting the claims of a plaintiff who worked at a laundry facility where the defendant sent its workers’ clothing.
In the Dec. 20 opinion, the California 1st District Court of Appeal concluded that the plaintiff had not provided sufficient evidence to back claim that he was exposed to asbestos-laden clothing that came from the defendant during the one year he was employed with the launderer.
