West Virginia Jury Finds for CSX in RICO Case Against Asbestos Plaintiffs’ Firm, Ray Harron, M.D.

WHEELING, W.Va. –– A West Virginia jury has reached a verdict in favor of CSX Transportation Inc. (NYSE:CSX), finding that an asbestos plaintiff firm had conspired with expert Ray Harron, M.D., to fabricate asbestos claims.

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia reached the verdict on Dec. 20, almost exactly seven years after CSX Transportation filed the complaint. Trial began Dec. 11, according to the court’s online docket.

According to the verdict sheet, jurors found for CSX on claims of racketeering, conspiracy and fraud.
