Ohio Bill Requiring Disclosure of All Asbestos Claims Filed with Bankruptcy Trusts Passes Senate

COLUMBUS, Ohio –– The Ohio Senate has passed a bill that will require asbestos plaintiffs to provide documentation of all existing asbestos trust claims made by, or on behalf, of the claimant.

House Bill 380 would require “claimants in asbestos tort actions to make certain disclosures pertaining to asbestos trust claims that have been submitted to asbestos trust entities for the purpose of compensating the claimant for asbestos exposure.”
