Pa. Meso Trial Completed; Damages Total $25.2 Million

PHILADELPHIA -- A Philadelphia jury has awarded a total of $25.2 million after a reverse bifurcated trial, sources told HarrisMartin. Baccus, et al. v. Bondex International, et al., March 2007 Term, Case No. 001063 (Pa. Ct. Comm. Pls., Philadelphia Cty.).

Two defendants, Crane Co. and Yarway Corp., remained in the case when the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County reached its punitive damages verdict on March 14.

Judge James Murray Lynn presided over the trial, which was consolidated with two other cases -- Wheeler v. A.W. Chesterton (May Term 2006 No. 0715), which settled after jurors entered a …
