Wash. Court Limits Scope of Asbestos Documents to Time of Employment

TACOMA, Wash. –– A Washington federal court has in part granted an asbestos plaintiff’s motion to compel interrogatory answers, but limited the scope of the responses to the plaintiff’s years of employment.
In the Aug. 29 order, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington narrowed the scope of the requests after noting that the plaintiff does not contend the asbestos defendants, including Carrier Corp., IMO Industries Inc. and Warren Pumps, were part of a conspiracy that took place prior to his time of employment.
