Miss. High Court Declines to Review Reversal of $15.2 Million Asbestos Verdict

JACKSON, Miss. –– The Mississippi Supreme Court has declined to review its reversal of a $15.2 million asbestos verdict, letting its June decision stand in which it found that the trial court erred in permitting plaintiffs’ counsel to read from drilling records that were not admitted into evidence during the cross-examination of ConocoPhillips' (NYSE:COP) pulmonologist.

In its hand down list issued Aug. 30, the high court noted that the motion made by the plaintiff to rehear the decision was denied.
