MT. VERNON, Ill. - An Illinois Appeals Court has affirmed a ruling that held the Center for Claims Resolution jointly and severally liable for an asbestos settlement paid without the cooperation of former member GAF Corp. Pritchett v. The Asbestos Claims Management Corp., No. 5-01-0095 (Ill. App. Ct., 5th Dist.).

The Fifth District Appellate Court of Illinois ruled July 26 that there was no ambiguity in the agreement the CCR reached with plaintiff Louis V. Pritchett, who was suffering from mesothelioma when he brought suit against several members of the CCR.
