LOS ANGELES - A federal judge in California has remanded an asbestos claim for lack of federal jurisdiction after the plaintiff filed a post-removal waiver of any claims related to his exposure to asbestos at a military or federal government job site. Lockwood v. Crane Co., et al., No. 12-1473 (C.D. Calif.).

Judge Jacqueline H. Nguyen of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California ruled April 25 that plaintiff Geoffrey Lockwood's specific waiver of all federal claims against Foster Wheeler justified remanding the case to Los Angeles Superior Court.
