SAN FRANCISCO –– Another California appellate court has reversed a trial court order throwing out loss of consortium claims, ruling that the claims could stand since the manifestation of the injury giving rise to the cause of action occurred during the marriage. Leonard v. John Crane, et al., No. A133322 (Calif. 1st Dist. Ct. App., Div. 5).

The June 13 opinion issued by the California First District Court of Appeal is similar to that of the Second District Court of Appeal, issued on June 1. For more on the Second District’s opinion, see this issue of COLUMNS-Asbestos.
