Madison County, Ill. Judge Crowder Removed from Asbestos Docket

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- Judge Barbara Crowder has been reassigned from the Madison County Circuit Court's Asbestos Docket after the judge received campaign donations from three law firms with asbestos cases pending on her docket. General Administrative Order, No. 2011-C-15 (Ill. 3rd Jud. Cir. Ct., Madison Cty.).

In a statement issued exclusively to HarrisMartin, a member of one of the contributing firms explained that his firm has a "long history" of supporting campaigns, including prior ones of Judge Crowder, and that the firm has always found the county's asbestos docket to be a "fair and efficient forum for victims of mesothelioma."
