LOS ANGELES - A California appeals court has rejected a joint compound manufacturer's challenges to a jury's allocation of fault in a mesothelioma case where the defendant made a tactical decision at trial not to assign blame to other, non-party manufacturers allegedly responsible for the plaintiff's injuries. Saffold v. Bondex International Inc., No. B212270 (Calif. Ct. App., 2nd Dist.).

In a Sept. 8 decision, the Second District Court of Appeal affirmed the non-economic damages portion of a verdict against Bondex International Inc., despite evidence in the record that as many as six joint compound manufacturers may have been equally responsible …
